Coming weekend the SimRacing EXPO will be held at the Nürburgring in Germany. Heusinkveld Engineering will be present with a stand an will also be offering something extra for those who are interested in the fine art of setting up your vehicle within simulator software.
Simracing Setyp Lecture by Niels Heusinkveld
During the weekend Niels Heusinkveld will hold a lecture (several sessions) on simracing car setups. The aim is to go a bit deeper and different than most ‘car setup guides’ you may find online. Niels will go to the core, explaining how and why tire grip changes based on your driving inputs and car setup. We welcome all visitors of the SimRacing EXPO 2016 to take part in these sessions. The exact timing schedule and locations of these lectures will be published in the next few days.
For more information about these lectures we refer to Niels his vlog below.
Simulator driving at the Heusinkveld Engineering EXPO stand
This year we will bring 2 high-end simulators to the Heusinkveld Engineering stand. Both simulators consist of our Sim Rig GT simulator frame, Sim Pedals Ultimate, Sim Shifter Sequential, a direct drive wheel and a 144hz triple screen setup. The cars which you will be able to drive (subject to change) are:
- Ultima GTR (track version) around Oulton Park Fosters.
- Caterham 620R around Brands Hatch Indy.
Both of these cars require shifting with our Sim Shifter Sequential. Also the relative short and technical nature of both tracks require you to work the simulator equipment to the fullest. Below you’ll see a few photos of both simulators which are almost ready for transport to Germany.
If you have not made up your mind whether you want to go to the SimRacing EXPO 2016, make sure to read this en hop in your car towards the Ring this weekend!
